Connect through MCP
Lunaris exposes a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) connection for compatible clients. It lets an approved client work with Lunaris Cloud through the same account and workspace access you use in the app.
Create a connection
Open the Lunaris MCP setup page , then:
- Choose the data region that holds your Lunaris account.
- Choose your MCP client or the generic MCP option.
- Copy the generated command, configuration, or HTTP server details.
- Add it to your client and start the connection.
- Sign in to Lunaris when the client opens authorization.
- Review the requested access before approving it.
The setup page provides tailored instructions for clients including Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Other clients can use the generic HTTP connection when they support authenticated remote MCP servers.
What clients can access
Available tools can cover:
- listing workspaces, members, projects, and project items;
- searching items and reading document content;
- reading extension-owned project data and file download links;
- creating or updating projects and items; and
- inviting or removing workspace members and deleting project content when explicitly authorized.
The exact tools depend on the access granted during authorization, your workspace and project permissions, and the content available in Lunaris. An MCP client does not bypass Lunaris roles or Private-project access.
Actions that modify or delete content should remain visible to the person using the client. Review proposed changes and confirmation prompts before approving them.
Data region and account checks
Each hosted connection targets one Lunaris data region. If authorization opens the wrong account or a workspace is missing, return to the setup page, select the correct region, and create the connection again.
