Sync Problems
Lunaris saves edits locally first, then syncs cloud projects when a connection is available. A pending upload does not mean the edit is lost, but it has not yet reached Lunaris Cloud or your other devices.
Changes are not appearing on another device
On the device where you made the change:
- Confirm the project is Private or Shared. Local projects never sync.
- Open Lunaris and reconnect to the internet.
- Select the sync indicator and wait for Uploading to finish.
- Open Settings → Local Data and confirm the Upload Queue returns to no pending uploads.
On the other device, confirm you selected the same account, data region, workspace, and project. Keep the project open while Downloading is shown.
Sync Error
Sync Error means a transfer failed temporarily and Lunaris is retrying. Keep the app open and check that your connection is stable. Networks with a sign-in page, such as hotel or public Wi-Fi, may appear online before internet access is complete.
If the error remains after reconnecting, open Settings → Local Data and review the shown reason and upload queue. Reload Lunaris once, then allow it to retry.
Sign-In Required
Your session expired and cloud uploads were rejected.
- Choose Sign In from the sync message.
- Sign in to the same account and data region.
- Return to Settings → Local Data.
- Choose Try Again, then wait for the upload queue to clear.
Do not continue as a new guest account: it will not restore access to the original account’s cloud projects.
Plan or Permission Issue
The server rejected a queued change under the current plan or permissions. Check whether:
- your workspace or private-project role changed;
- you now have Viewer access instead of Editor access;
- the project or workspace was removed; or
- the workspace plan needs attention.
Ask the workspace or project owner to restore the needed access. Workspace owners can review billing from Workspace Settings → Billing. After the cause is fixed, open Settings → Local Data and choose Try Again.
Sync Paused
Lunaris pauses automatic attempts after repeated upload rejections. The pending changes stay in this browser unless you clear them.
- Correct the sign-in, permission, plan, or connection problem shown.
- Open Settings → Local Data.
- Choose Try Again.
- Keep Lunaris open until no pending uploads remain.
Last Synced does not change
Last Synced records the last completed cloud sync. It will not advance for a Local project, while offline, or while transfers are still pending. Check the upload queue and wait for both Uploading and Downloading to finish.
Last-resort local controls
Use these only after normal retries fail:
- Clear Upload Queue permanently discards queued uploads and their unsynced data. It does not upload or repair them.
- Purge All Local Data deletes Lunaris databases and downloaded files from this browser, then reloads the app. Synced cloud data can download again; Local projects and unsynced changes cannot be recovered from the cloud.
See Manage Local Data before using either action.
