Extension Problems
Extensions have two levels: a workspace owner installs an extension for the workspace, then an Editor or Owner enables it for a project. Check both levels when an item type or tool is missing.
An extension is missing from the project
- Open Project Settings → Manage Extensions.
- Search for the extension.
- If it is available, turn it on for the project.
- Reload if Lunaris shows Extensions changed.
If the extension is not listed, follow Explore all available extensions to Workspace Settings → Extensions. A workspace owner must install it while online. Reload open projects after an install, update, rollback, or removal.
Viewers cannot change a project’s extensions. Editors can enable available extensions for a project, but only workspace owners can install, update, or remove workspace extensions.
Extension Required
An existing item can remain in the project after its extension is disabled. The content is not deleted. Choose Enable Extension to restore its editor or viewer.
If the button is disabled, either you cannot edit the project or the extension is unavailable. Ask an Editor or Owner for help, then use the availability message to identify the cause.
Availability messages
| Message | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Not installed in this workspace | The project refers to an extension the workspace does not have. | Ask a workspace owner to install it. |
| Not cached for offline use | This browser has not downloaded the extension. | Reconnect, open the project, and reload. |
| Plugin failed to load | The extension hit a temporary loading failure. | Reload the project once. |
| Corrupt plugin files | Downloaded extension files failed verification. | Reconnect and reload so Lunaris can download them again. |
| Incompatible SDK | The installed release does not support this Lunaris version. | Ask an owner to choose a compatible version, if offered. |
| Release unavailable | The installed release is no longer in the catalog. | Ask an owner to change to an available release. |
| Blocked by Lunaris | Lunaris has prevented that release from running. | Leave it disabled and use an available release or alternative. |
| External plugins disabled | Community extensions are temporarily disabled. | Retry when they become available again. |
The extension catalog does not load
The workspace catalog needs a connection. If it shows Could not load the extension catalog, confirm the browser is online and reload the page. When offline, the catalog is read-only: installation, updates, rollbacks, and removal remain disabled until you reconnect.
If only installation controls are disabled while online, confirm you are a workspace Owner. If every community extension is disabled, wait and try again; changing project settings will not bypass the workspace restriction.
Enabling does not stick
An extension may switch back off when it cannot load. Check its availability, reconnect if needed, and reload the project. If collaborators changed the project’s extension setup, use the current shared setting instead of repeatedly toggling it.
See Manage Extensions for the normal setup flow.
