Navigate Lunaris
Lunaris has two main places: the Recent Projects page and the workspace inside an open project.
Recent Projects
This page is the home for the active workspace.
- Workspace selector: Switch workspaces or create one from the upper-left. Use the adjacent settings button to manage the active workspace.
- Project search: Filter projects by name.
- Sort: Order projects by recent activity or name.
- View: Switch between grid and list layouts.
- Create: Start an empty project or import an Obsidian folder.
- Account menu: Open settings, add or switch accounts, or sign out.
Select a project card to open it.
Inside a project
Top bar
The top bar holds project-wide navigation and tools.
- Home returns to Recent Projects.
- Project name opens a list for switching projects.
- Settings opens project details, visibility, sharing, and extensions.
- Project sidebar restores the project tree if it has been closed.
- Search finds projects, items, content, and commands.
- Extensions opens the extensions enabled for this project.
- Buttons on the right open tools supplied by extensions, Help, and your account menu.
Project sidebar
The left sidebar shows the project’s folders and items. Use its controls to:
- search document names;
- add a file or folder; and
- collapse expanded folders.
Select an item to open it. Right-click an item for actions such as rename, duplicate, copy path, copy URL, or delete. Drag items to reorder them or move them into folders.
Tabs and panels
Documents and tools open in tabs. You can keep several tabs open, place panels beside each other, or move a panel into a separate window. The active tab is also reflected in the browser address, so its URL can return you to that item.
Use a tab’s menu to move it to a new window, close it, close other tabs, or close all tabs in the group. Select the plus button in a panel group to open a new blank tab.
Status bar
The bottom-left sync indicator shows whether the project is synced, working offline, uploading, downloading, local-only, or needs attention. Select it for more detail when the status changes.
The right side can show information supplied by the active document or tool.
Search and commands
Select Search in the top bar or press ⌘ K on macOS and Ctrl K on
Windows or Linux. Search can find:
- recent items;
- projects;
- folders and items in the current project;
- matching document content; and
- actions such as opening Settings, Extensions, the project sidebar, or Focus Mode.
Use the arrow keys to move through results, Enter to open one, and Esc to
close search.
Desktop and mobile apps
Dedicated desktop and mobile apps are planned, but not yet available. The navigation described on this page applies to the current web app.
